Overview and Benefits

With the movement away from MSDE (Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine), to SQL Express/Studio Express, the ability to provide scheduled CCE database backups does not exist because there is no SQL Agent present. An alternative solution in the form of a new service from RamQuest is now available to provide the ability to schedule backups.

Description of Service

• Review with customer to determine backup media storage sizing needs
• Current Backup of all CCE Databases performed prior to implementation of the service
• Daily backup schedule created to store files on external drive (external drive must be provided by customer) (one job run daily or 5 jobs a week)
• Reporting to log activities including success or failures
