RamQuest Software Announces 29th Consecutive Quarter of Profitability

Plano, TX, October 16, 2008—RamQuest Software, Inc., a recognized leader in the land title software industry, announced today that the third quarter of 2008 marked the company’s 29th consecutive quarter of profitability. A privately held company, RamQuest continues to generate positive operating cash flow with no debt service in spite of the continuing economic conditions negatively impacting the real estate and title industries threatening other software providers in the market.
RamQuest’s title industry solutions are installed on more than 40,000 desktops nationwide. Despite turmoil in the credit markets, RamQuest continues to be profitable and has a healthy balance sheet and economic outlook. RamQuest expects to invest more in Research and Development in 2009 than any other time in company history. Additionally, the company is placing renewed focus on its customers – to provide world-class customer service throughout the company and to continue to work in partnership with customers, with a direct intent of helping them increase revenue and decrease costs.
“RamQuest is successful in spite of the volatility in the market right now; our customers are stable with strong competitive positioning and that directly impacts our company," said Mark McElroy, president and chief executive officer. "In recent months, like many other companies, we have made right-sizing decisions; however, we have focused on strategic hires as well; one example of this is the addition of Mary Schuster to RamQuest’s management team in the role of Director of Operations.” McElroy goes on to say that in this role Schuster will direct and lead the efforts of the RamQuest Customer Support, Implementation and Training teams as the company continues to drive forward in the market, forming partnerships with customers and working to help them do business more effectively and efficiently.
And, although McElroy does not expect to see any significant turnaround in the industry anytime soon, he suggests that, “Isolated markets are seemingly holding their values and showing some movement. I would anticipate that these circumstances will slowly improve in 2009.”
